Every two years, we organize an Apprenticeship Day at the Eichelhardt and Wermelskirchen locations. Here you can find out about all the apprenticeship professions in the workshops, production halls, and offices.

You can visit us at our stand at regional events on the topic of career choice, such as the ABOM in Altenkirchen or the BIB in Hachenburg. In addition, we are in regular contact with surrounding schools regarding the allocation of internships.

As an independent family business, we attach great importance to the internal development of knowledge. Professional further education plays a decisive role in the training of skilled workers from our own staff:
We promote the specialization of our junior staff within the framework of IHK training courses and technical schools.
During work assignments in our foreign subsidiaries, junior staff can gain international experience and deepen their foreign language skills.

40 hours per week.

What is the number of vacation days?
30 vacation days per year.
When does the apprenticeship start?
Eichelhardt:
On August 1st of each year.
Wermelskirchen:
On August 1st or September 1st of each year.
By when must the application documents reach the HR department?
By the end of June of each year at the latest.
What should be included in the application?
CV, certificates.
Are there shift working hours in production?
During the apprenticeship, only early shift (5:45 AM – 2:15 PM).
What is the working arrangement if the teaching time at the vocational school changes?
If there are fewer than four vocational school hours (e.g. due to class cancellation), please report to the workplace.
What are the chances of being hired permanently?
We train for our own needs. Nothing stands in the way of a permanent position if performance is good.
How should the report book be maintained?
Whether digitally, on paper, or via the IHK. Whichever is easiest for you.
Can I also shorten my apprenticeship?
Yes, but this depends primarily on your academic and technical performance.
Is there an opportunity to do an internship ("taster day") at GROUP SCHUMACHER?
Generally yes, but this must be requested from the HR department in good time so that capacities and the period in the desired professional area can be clarified.
