straw chopper knives
A sharp product
A straw chopper knife is exposed to particularly high wear at the outer edges of the blade. In this area, the sharp cutting edges are subject to the greatest wear and tend to round off. With hard cover knives, one side of the blade is harder than the other (beaver tooth effect). This means that a sharp edge remains where the soft material is worn away.
Patented knife
Special hardening process
One side of the blade is harder than the other
Wear produces a sharp edge at the transition to the more hardened material
For a consistently high-quality chops
Long service life
Hard cover straw chopper knives
Straight design
For all chopper types
The PREMIUM straw chopper knives are particularly hard-wearing and long-lasting. Thanks to a special hard cover technology, these knives offer a substantially longer service life and reduced risk of breakage.
Longer service life than traditional knives
Beaver tooth effect for consistent and high-quality cops
The wear of the blade produces a sharp edge at the transition to the more hardened material
Turned design
Paddle knife for width distribution
Turned knives increase the velocity of the air and material flow inside the straw chopper. The special arrangement of the knives ensures chops and chaff are thrown to both sides for controlled and homogenous distribution. Optimum results at 21+ ft work widths.
Consistently high chopping quality as no counter blades need exchanging
Throws straw up to 29 ft
Homogenous distribution of straw chops across the full work width
Easier post-harvest tillage
Available as a set
with bearing bushings
For security reasons we recommend to exchange the knives in combination with new bearings.
